1 · The thesis
The free tier should lead with ingestion — getting items in — because it is the one pain every estate seller feels regardless of platform, and no incumbent solves it well. Incumbents advertise a sale or run an auction; none help you get items in efficiently or let the data back out.

The common thread: getting items in is slow manual work, and the data can't leave once it's there — so sellers re-catalog the same items channel by channel. Ingestion is the wound shared across all of them.
3 · Before / after
From ~60 hours of data entry to a morning of review.

4 · Seller personas — which pain each feels most
Same shared pains, felt at different intensities. The red bar is the one each persona feels most — the message that should lead for that segment. Intensities are directional synthesis for positioning, not survey data.
Estate-sale agency
Solo reseller / liquidator
Garage / moving-sale host
Monetization note: the garage host converts on "free + effortless" but monetizes weakly — top-of-funnel and a buyer-side network feeder. The revenue story lives with agencies and solo resellers.
5 · Free-tier landing page
All copy stays inside the product language rules: suggested ranges / internal pricing guidance (never "certified appraisal" or "guaranteed value"), nothing publishes without seller approval, AI copy/tags always editable.
Turn a pile of photos
into a searchable sale.
Photograph your sale and TroveSnap turns each photo into a draft item card — tagged, organized, ready to review. Skip the hours of typing. Keep the tools you already use.

Pain strip
Cataloging one sale by hand can run 50+ hours, item by item — and that data gets stuck wherever you typed it. There's a better first step.
How it works
- Snap — Walk the sale and shoot photos like you already do. No forms while your hands are full.
- Review — Each photo arrives as a draft item card with suggested tags and a suggested price range. Approve, edit, or skip — your call on everything.
- Publish & amplify — Send your sale to a searchable page that drives turnout, and link out to the channels you already trust. Nothing publishes until you say so.
What's free
- Photo intake — each photo becomes a draft item card
- Automatic categories and treasure tags
- A searchable sale page that helps buyers find you
- Suggested price ranges to guide your own pricing
- Discount phases and external listing links
- A clear sold / unsold view when the sale wraps
Keep your channels
We don't replace EstateSales.net, Facebook, or your auction house. TroveSnap is the layer that makes all of them easier. Catalog once here, then push your sale out to wherever your buyers already look. Amplification, not another silo — and your inventory stays yours.
Pricing teaser
Start free. Pay only when AI does the heavy lifting. Routine cataloging, tagging, and your sale page are included. The only things that ever cost extra are premium AI actions like deep appraisals and comparable-sale research — and those are metered, so you spend only on what you ask for.
Closing CTA
Your next sale starts with a photo. Set up a sale in minutes and let your camera roll do the cataloging. — Start free
Suggested ranges are internal pricing guidance to support your own decisions — not certified appraisals or guaranteed values. Nothing you import or generate publishes without your explicit approval. AI-generated copy and tags are always editable.

Ad caveats: "10x faster" / superlative claims need pilot data before paid (Google disapproves unsupported superlatives). Persona B's "never double-sell" depends on cross-channel sync being live (currently planned, pending Auth + connectors) — soft-launch as "one source of truth" until the auto-delist path ships.

9 · A/B test plan — three hero variants
Structural decision first. A 3-arm random split needs ~3× the traffic of a 2-arm test, and pits messages aimed at different people against undifferentiated traffic (measures audience mix, not message quality).
- If traffic is segmentable by source/intent (UTMs, ad set): route each persona to its matched hero; run a 2-arm test within each persona (matched vs. generic hero) to prove tailoring lifts conversion. Preferred when paid campaigns already split by persona.
- If traffic is generic/cold: run the true 3-arm test to find the best default hero, then add persona routing later.
Hypothesis: a persona-matched hero (leading with that segment's sharpest pain) converts cold visitors to free signup better than a single generic hero.
Held constant: everything below the hero (how-it-works, what's-free, pricing, CTA copy, page speed, form). Only the hero eyebrow + headline + subhead + 3 bullets change. One variable.
Metrics
- Primary: free-account signup rate (visit → account created).
- Activation (matters more): signup → first sale created with ≥1 item within 48 h.
- Diagnostic: hero CTA CTR, scroll-depth past fold, bounce, cost-per-activation by source.
Allocation & sizing
- Persistent even split per visitor.
- Rough sizing: detecting +20% relative lift on a ~5% baseline at 80% power ≈ 6.5k visitors/arm. Recompute with the real baseline before launch.
- Run ≥1 full week (ideally 2) for weekday/weekend coverage.
Guardrails
- Fix sample size + duration up front; no peeking-and-stopping.
- One concurrent hero test only (don't stack with pricing/CTA tests).
- Watch a guardrail metric (activation, complaint/refund rate) to catch over-promising winners.
- Exclude internal traffic; assign variant before paint (avoid flicker).
Decision rule
Ship the variant that wins on activation at ≥95% confidence and holds the full window. If signups and activation disagree, trust activation. If nothing separates, keep the generic hero and redirect test budget to the offer / above-fold proof.
Sequencing: winner becomes control → test next single element (sub-headline proof, then CTA label, then hero image). One lever at a time.
